SweatLabs Eclipse Infrared Sauna Review
Updated February 2026 with my 1-month review · Installed October 2025 · 2 videos
It lives up to the hype. I'm in it three to five nights a week before bed, and I sleep better on the nights I use it. It plugs into a regular outlet and went together in under an hour. The catch for a big guy: the 2-person is tight for two adults when one of them is me.

Buy it if
- You want a wind-down before bed. I sleep better and wake up easier on sauna nights.
- You only have a regular wall outlet. The 2-person runs on 110V. No electrician.
- You live where winter is brutal. My wife uses it to warm all the way up in February.
- You want to build it yourself. One guy, under an hour, latches instead of screws.
Skip it if
- Two big adults will use it together. Get the 3-person. Just know it needs a 220V outlet.
- You want to lean back and relax. The rear heaters get too hot to lean on.
- You want steam. It's a dry heat, and it tops out at 150°F.

Before you buy
What I don't love
You can't lean back
The rear heaters get hot enough to burn your skin. No backrest comes with it. I sit leaning forward and it's fine for 10 to 30 minutes.
Tight for two when one is me
I'm 6'5" with broad shoulders. My wife is 5'4". We fit, but it's not comfortable. I wish I'd gone 3-person, but that one needs a 220V outlet.
Slow to heat in a cold basement
SweatLabs says about 26 minutes to 149°. My basement sits around 60°, so it takes me 40 to 45. It's plenty hot by minute 20.
Small stuff
The speakers are fine, not great. The USB port plays music but won't charge your phone. The door handle isn't in the instructions.

My 6-month review is next. I'll add it here when it's up.

Lives up to the hype
Three to five nights a week, 10 to 30 minutes, right before bed. Better sleep, a big guy's fit, and what my wife thinks.

Install & first sweat
Four boxes, dropped at the door, no delivery appointment. Built solo in under an hour, then pushed to 150° with my wife in there too.
Questions I get
Does a 6'5" guy fit?
Sitting, yes, with room to put my arms up. I have to duck to get in and can't stand up straight, but you sit the whole time anyway.
How hot does it get?
It tops out at 150°F. I've been dripping within minutes of getting in.
Does it need special wiring?
The 2-person plugs into a regular wall outlet. That's why I picked it. The 3-person needs a 220V outlet.
Can I pay with an HSA?
SweatLabs says you can use a health savings or flexible spending account. Check with your plan.
How hard is the install?
Easy. Latches pull the panels tight. You'll want a drill and a ladder. Under an hour by myself, with breaks.
