PRx Mobility & Resistance Bands Review
Updated September 2026 with my 6-month review · First tested July 2025 · 3 videos
If you can only afford bands right now, buy bands. You can get a serious workout out of a set and add a bar and plates later. Six months in, these have held up fine. The catch is that bands are the one thing in the PRx lineup with a clock on them. Latex eventually snaps.

Buy it if
- Buy it if you want to start training at home this month, not next year.
- Buy it if you need gear that hangs on a hook and fits in a bag.
- Buy it if you want bands that list a resistance range, so you can actually program with them.
- Buy it if you'll grab the wall hanger too, so they don't end up in a knot.
Skip it if
- Skip it if you already have a rack, plates and cables. Bands are an add-on for you, not a priority.
- Skip it if you want a buy-it-once-for-life purchase. Latex wears out.

Before you buy
What I don't love
They will snap someday
That's not a PRx problem, that's latex. PRx only gives accessories like bands a one year warranty, which tells you the same thing.
"Set of five" means the Heavy bundle
Only the $134.99 Heavy bundle has five bands. The Light and Standard bundles are four each, so check what you're getting before you compare prices.
Two prices for the storage
PRx lists the band storage at $36.99 on its product page and $34.99 on its storage page. Buy from the product page and check the cart.

I'll check them again at one year to see if any have snapped.

Can bands be your whole gym?
Six months of regular use with no failures, why I'd buy the storage hanger with them, and why the one-year check is the one that matters.

How the bands held up after a month of use, and what I'd flag before you buy.

Day one
Unboxing the mobility bands, getting it set up in my parents' home gym, and my first impressions.
Questions I get
Can you build a whole home gym around resistance bands?
I think you can. You won't out-squat a loaded barbell, but you can get a serious workout for a fraction of what a rack costs.
Which PRx bundle is the set of five?
The Heavy bundle, $134.99 when I checked. That's red, black, purple, green and blue. The Light and Standard bundles are four bands each.
What resistance do they cover?
From 5 to 15 lb on the yellow up to 65 to 175 lb on the blue, with four steps in between.
Do I need the band storage?
You don't need it. You'll use your bands more if you have it. Untangling bands is how they end up in a drawer.
What's the warranty?
PRx's warranty page lists one year on accessories, and that includes bands.
