Flybird Adjustable Weight Bench Review
Updated June 2026 with my 1-month review · First tested November 2025 · 2 videos
I'm 6'5" and my head stays on the pad, which I can't say about my old Flybird. After a month it's super solid, the pin adjustments lock in clean, and it folds flat against the wall. The catch is the ball pins have a little give, so a couple spots feel looser than the rest of the bench.

Buy it if
- Buy it if you're tall and your head hangs off most benches.
- Buy it if your gym is small and the bench has to fold away.
- Buy it if you're choosing between flat and adjustable. Spend the extra and get adjustable.
- Buy it if you want adjustments that lock in without fiddling.
Skip it if
- Skip it if you already have a heavy commercial bench and don't need to save space.
- Skip it if you're a really wide guy. It's not super wide.
"After using it for over a month, it's super solid. It has held up to everything that I've wanted it to do."Me, at the 1-month mark

Before you buy
What I don't love
Ball pins have some give
A couple spots feel a little flimsy. It's the ball pin wiggling, not the frame.
Top of the backrest
There's a little more give up at the top since there's less support up there.
Not super wide
It felt fine on my back, but it's not a wide bench. If you're broad, know that.
Not tested heavy yet
My first test was 30 lb dumbbells. The 800 lb rating is the listing's number, not mine.

Super solid after a month
A month in, it's held up to everything I've asked of it. I also walk through the Amazon listing and why I'd always buy adjustable over flat.

Four steps and long enough for 6'5"
I build it, run every adjustment, lie down on it and fold it to the wall. It felt nicer than my older Flybird bench.
Questions I get
Is it long enough for a tall guy?
Yes. I'm 6'5" and my head is still on the pad. The extra-long backrest is huge for a tall guy like me.
How much weight does it hold?
The listing says 800 lbs. I'm 270 and it's held up to everything I've done on it, but I haven't tested anywhere near 800.
Does it fold up?
Pull the pin, it folds up and stores flat against the wall.
How hard is it to put together?
Four steps. The tools are in the box. Use the bigger ball pin in the main frame.
Should I just get a flat bench?
No. Spend a little more and get an adjustable bench. You can do so many more lifts with it.
