Xendurance Hydro Review
Updated December 2023 First video November 2022 · 2 videos
If you want an electrolyte drink without artificial sweeteners, this is the one I'd grab. The Raspberry Lemonade is the best tasting Hydro flavor they've done, and I said that on my very first sip. The catch is it has 3 grams of added sugar, and this is a first taste, not a long-term test.

Buy it if
- Buy it if you want electrolytes without artificial sweeteners or artificial flavors.
- Buy it if you want something to sip during a workout instead of a BCAA drink.
- Buy it if you like raspberry more than lemonade. You get more raspberry.
- Buy it if you want single-serve sticks you can toss in a gym bag.
Skip it if
- Skip it if you want zero sugar. There's 3 grams of added sugar per stick.
- Skip it if you want a long-term review. This is my first taste.

My two gripes
There's some sugar
Three grams of added sugar. That's what makes it taste good enough to drink all day, but it's not zero.
First impressions only
This was my first taste on camera. I'll tell you how it holds up once I've used it longer.

Best Hydro flavor yet
My unedited first taste of the Raspberry Lemonade, then a walk through the electrolytes, the sugar and what's on the label.

A swap for sugary sports drinks
A short overview from my time as a Xendurance team leader. I explain that Xendurance adds lactate as a fuel source, and how the Hydro sticks and the Lemon Lime powder taste: light, with no sugary aftertaste.
Questions I get
What does the Raspberry Lemonade taste like?
Not too sweet, not too strong. I get more raspberry than lemonade, but it definitely has a lemonade kick. It's better cold.
How much water do I mix it with?
I used 16 ounces of water and filled the rest of the shaker with ice. If you want more water, that's totally fine.
Does it have artificial sweeteners?
No. Xendurance doesn't use artificial sweeteners or artificial flavors. It has 3 grams of added sugar for flavor.
When should I drink it?
During your workout instead of a BCAA, or any time of the day you want to stay hydrated.
Is it tested for banned substances?
Xendurance says it's Informed Choice and Informed Sport certified.
