Jocko Fuel Pro Series Pre-Workout Review

Updated May 2026 First tested May 2026 · 1 video

My takeBest for Label readers, not bargain hunters

If you read labels and want real doses of everything, this is about as legit as it gets. It tasted good, my stomach was fine, and it was one of the best workouts I've had in a while. The catch is the price. It's $60 for 20 servings, so you're paying $3 a scoop, and one workout isn't enough to rule out placebo.

Buy it if

  • Buy it if you want clinical doses you can see on the label, not a fancy name hiding small amounts.
  • Buy it if you want 300 mg of caffeine without artificial sweeteners or colors.
  • Buy it if pre-workouts usually mess with your stomach. I had no issues.
  • Buy it if you can wait for a sale or use subscribe and save.

Skip it if

  • Skip it if budgets are tight. The regular Jocko pre is 30 servings for $45.
  • Skip it if you don't like the beta-alanine tingle. I felt it on my lips right away.
  • Skip it if 200 mg of caffeine is already plenty for you.

What I don't love

It's pricey

$60 for 20 servings is $3 a serving. That makes it one of the pricier pre-workouts out there.

Only 20 servings

I thought it was 30 at first. It's 20, because the scoop is 30 grams. That's almost as big as a scoop of protein.

Could be placebo

Any time you switch pre-workouts you get a little bump. The jury's still out until I've used it for a month.

The tingle

3.2 grams of beta-alanine. I felt it on my lips on the first sip.

Legit doses, steep price

I open it, taste the Sour Gummy flavor, read the label, then come back after a 45-minute workout with my first take.

Questions I get

How much does it cost?

$60 for 20 servings at Jocko Fuel when I checked in May 2026. That's $3 a serving. Subscribe and save is cheaper.

Pro Series or regular Jocko pre-workout?

The regular one is really good and 30 servings for $45. Pro Series is 20 servings for $60, with more caffeine and bigger doses. If budgets are tight, go regular.

How much caffeine is in it?

300 mg of natural caffeine. The regular Jocko pre has about 200.

Does it upset your stomach?

Not for me. No bathroom runs and no indigestion during or after a 45-minute workout.

What does Sour Gummy taste like?

Pretty good. It's not overly sour, it's kind of sweet. You can tell where the sour gummy comes from.
