NordicTrack Commercial 2450 Review
Updated June 2026 with my 1-month review · First built December 2025 · 2 videos
It doesn't flinch under a 6'5", 275 lb guy, and the cushioned deck makes running feel natural instead of like concrete. The real reason to buy it is iFIT. If you don't know what to do on a treadmill, the screen tells you. If you'll never touch the workouts, you're paying for a 24-inch screen you don't need.

Buy it if
- You're a bigger guy. At 275 lbs it never felt like it was struggling, and it's rated to 400.
- You don't know what to do on a treadmill. iFIT is a coach on a 24-inch screen.
- Winter kills your outdoor miles. My dad uses it almost every day through a northern Illinois winter.
- You want something easy on your joints. The cushioned deck has real give.
Skip it if
- You'll never use iFIT. Then you're paying for a screen and a subscription you won't touch.
- You're short on floor space. It's 77" long and 37" wide, even though it folds.
- Budget is tight. NordicTrack makes smaller Commercial models for less.

Before you buy
What I don't love
iFIT costs extra
The good stuff, like most programs and Netflix on the screen, needs an iFIT subscription. Your first month is included. After that, budget for it.
Pause is abrupt
When I hit pause mid-run, it stopped fast. Be ready for it.
Don't pull the wire tie
During assembly, leave the wire tie in the upright. You need it to feed the wire through. I pulled mine and it made the step a lot harder.
It lives at my parents' house
This one is in the home gym I'm rebuilding for my mom and dad. My dad is on it almost daily. I've put in a handful of runs. That's why it's a 1-month verdict, not a 1-year one yet.

My 6-month review is next. I'll add it here when it's up.

Solid for big guys?
A month of my dad using it almost every day and me running on it at 275 lbs. He hiked the Grand Canyon on iFIT from his basement.

Assembly & first run
It says two people. I did it by myself. Delivered by text-scheduled freight right into the garage. All tools in the box.
Questions I get
Can one person assemble it?
The manual says two people. I did it alone. A second set of hands would have helped on a couple steps, but you don't need one.
How does it handle a big guy?
Rated to 400 lbs. At 275 I never felt deck flex or the motor straining, and the belt is wide enough that I never drifted toward the edge.
Is iFIT worth it?
If you don't know what to do, yes. It tells you exactly what to do. My dad does the hiking series every morning. If you just want to walk, skip it.
Can I try it first?
NordicTrack offers a 30-day in-home trial and financing. Check the current terms on their site.
