Moving the PRx Profile Pro Squat Rack and Home Gym
A move can wreck a man’s training routine for months if he lets it. Boxes everywhere, no time to lift, gear scattered across two houses - that’s how guys fall out of the habit for good. I wasn’t about to let that happen to my home gym.
I’m Big Mike - 23-year pro wrestler, husband, and father of three girls - and when it came time to move my PRx Profile Pro Squat Rack and the rest of my home gym, I documented the whole process so you don’t have to make the mistakes I made.
THE BACKSTORY
Moving a full home gym sounds like a nightmare. Racks bolted to walls, weight plates everywhere, barbells you don’t want to scratch up. I went in expecting the worst.
HOW EASY IS IT, REALLY?
Here’s the truth: moving the PRx system was a lot simpler than I thought. The whole design is built to fold flat against the wall, which means less disassembly than a traditional rack and a lot less guesswork putting it back together on the other side.
MOVING THE PROFILE PRO SQUAT RACK
This was the big task of the day. A few extra hands and the right tools made it manageable - though I’ll admit I made a couple of mistakes along the way that cost me time. I walk through exactly what I’d do differently in the video.
MOVING THE REST OF THE GYM
The weight bench, barbell storage, plate storage, resistance bands, spotter arms, kettlebells, and general storage rack all had to make the trip too. Piece by piece, it came together faster than I expected once the rack itself was handled.
FINAL THOUGHTS
A home gym is an investment in your family’s health and your ability to lead from strength. Don’t let a move be the excuse that knocks you out of the habit. With the right plan, you can have your rack back up and your routine back on track faster than you think.
