So which supplements should you take? Well, quite simply, you need to focus on the foundation.

No need to jump to any fancy supplements or anything like that until you address your foundation.

A lot of times people will want to go get that cool pre-workout or get that awesome fat burner. But if they don't address the foundation, they're not going to get the maximum benefit from either one of those.

So sticking to a quality multivitamin and omega-3 supplement and a vitamin D supplement will help address that foundation and here's why we need to address the foundation,

Because think about it like a house… You're not going to build a tall standing, strong house on a weak foundation.

And a lot of times that's what happens in the supplement world because the foundation isn't sexy, it doesn't sell.

Nobody likes to talk about the foundation because it's boring. Well, the truth is you need a strong foundation and supplements to help you get there will do that.

So a quality multivitamin is the beginner supplement for anyone.

And by quality I mean you need to have one that's in a capsule form. So the absorption is going to happen in the right place.

With a nutrient deficiency that most people have with the nutrient density of foods that is lacking so much.

A quality multivitamin will make a huge difference.

Then adding in an omega-3 fish oil product because so many people are deficient in omega-3’s, they don't get enough in their diet, they don't get enough from the food that they eat.

Supplementing with an omega-3 product is awesome when it comes to the foundation.

And then a vitamin D supplement. Most people are deficient in vitamin D, so supplementing with vitamin D can give huge benefits for overall health and wellness.

And addressing that foundation is huge for a long term health and wellness, but also for hitting our performance goals.

If we don't address the foundation, we're not going to have the ultimate results that we want.

So dial that in first, then we go after all the other supplements.

Then we can start talking about supplementing with a pre-workout, adding a whole bunch of protein.

If money is an object for you and it's something that you need to focus on, and you're going to spend money on a supplement.

I would much rather you purchase a quality multivitamin, a fish oil vitamin D supplement, then go out there and spend a ton of money on pre-workout, some proteins and fat burners and all that kind of stuff.

They're great.

They're all great. I would never tell somebody not to supplement with a protein shake because protein is awesome.

But it isn't The first thing that I would tell you to do and hitting your goal.

So sticking to the basics, building that solid foundation is key when you talk about what supplements you should take because supplements are just that they are a supplement to a healthy diet.

Supplements are not the end all be all.

So if you're eating enough protein, then supplementing with a good quality multivitamin, a good fish oil can be a great partner with the good quality food that you're eating every single day.

Sowhen it comes to the question, what supplements should I take? Stick to the basics. Build a solid foundation with a multivitamin, a fish oil and a vitamin D supplement.
