🥶 The Tru Grit Fitness Inflatable Ice Bath is the perfect ice bath for home gyms with limited space. I break down why I think so in the PRE-REVIEW video by looking at the Tru Grit website and going over the specifications before I get the actual unit in hand.

So I've been wanting to get an ice bath in my home gym for quite a while now, and I've decided that the True Grit Fitness inflatable ice bath is the one for me. And in this video, we're going to go over to their website and take a look at the product and talk about the reasons why I decided that this ice bath is going to be the best one for my home gym.

For over the last decade, I've been a home gym owner and I'm always looking to add new equipment and new recovery tools. But space is always limited. So when I started looking at a cold plunge and what was available, I found that it was going to be hard for me to fit some of those more permanent tubs into my space. So I started looking at inflatable and portable ice baths so that if I ever needed to take it down and move it, I could have unlimited space in my gym. Makes it really important that everything that I bring into it is modular. I know good work. Now I know it's not ideal to have to take it down and set it back up.

And in a perfect world with unlimited space and unlimited funds, I probably be looking for a more permanent solution so that I could run it 24 over seven and use it whenever I want. But since I don't have unlimited space or unlimited funds, I want an ice bath that's easy to take down and set up, and then not having to run the chiller all the time is going to save me on the electricity cost.

The recommendations on an ice bath are all over the place. Some people say you need to do it every day. Some people say you need to do it 4 or 5 times a week. Some people say you need to do it 2 to 3 times a week, and some people say it doesn't even work, so don't do it.

But for me, I don't see myself using it more than 2 to 3 times a week, so I'm going to go with that. As for why I decided that the True Grit inflatable ice bath was the way to go for me, here's why. First, I have the grit Runner Elite Curve treadmill from True Grit and I freaking love it.

I use it almost every day, so it only made sense that I would consider some of the recovery equipment as well. Second, I'm a big dude, so I need something I'm going to fit in, and most of the other ones I looked at seemed a little too small. Third, and this might not matter to most people, but I really like the look of it and it's going to match the esthetic of my gym really well.

And fourth, because I'm a believer in the brand and the quality of the products, I'm also an affiliate. So let's take a quick look of the True Grit inflatable ice bath over on their website, and go over some of the specs. First thing we want to talk about is the cost. It retails for $999, but at the time of this recording, it's on sale for 550, which is a crazy deal.

True grit also offers financing options to help make their equipment extra affordable, which is awesome. The description talks about how you can take it anywhere you want to go in your car on a plane, in your RV, and a couple things that I want to call out in the description are that the inflate time says it's 2 to 5 minutes, and that the deflate time is about two minutes.

And when you're done, you can roll it up like a sleeping bag and stick it in the custom backpack that comes with it. And it also comes with a custom 80 inch by 40 inch True Grit rubber floor mat to help protect it. As far as the specifications go, there's a couple things I want to point out. The interior size of the tub is 52.5in long and 24.5in wide, which should accommodate my 65 frame.

Also, there's a specific fill in drain hole that are compatible with most garden hoses to make, set up, and tear down super easy. Your purchase comes with a full kit which includes a tub, a cover, a double action pump, a custom backpack, and format like I talked about a minute ago. And they even throw in a repair kit just in case.

And all of that together only weighs 38 pounds, so it makes it super portable. And that's one of the things I like most about this product, is it's going to give me the ability to take it with me anywhere I want to go. Now, I don't travel as much as I used to, but I can definitely see myself taking this to visit family and friends and introducing them to the benefits of an ice bath.

And here's a couple pro tips on the use cases of this inflatable ice bath. For any of you in-home personal trainers out there, this would be a great piece of equipment to purchase and bring more value to your clients and help them recover, and you could charge a per session fee to bring in more revenue. And I think this would be great for CrossFit gyms that don't have a lot of space to be able to put a more permanent solution in, but still want to offer cold plunges at the gym.

You could set it up on Thursdays and Saturdays for extra recovery on those days, and then take it down to save space the rest of the week. Overall, I think the True Grit inflatable ice bath is the way to go for anybody that has a home or CrossFit gym with limited space, and I'm hoping to get the actual ice bath in the next few weeks, and I'll do a full review and breakdown of it when I do so.

Stay tuned to the channel for that and more tips on how you can perform better, recover faster, and live healthier. I'll see you in the next video.
