So here's the thing about creatine. To get maximum benefit, it needs to be taken every single day. And here's why. My name is Mike. I have spent over a decade helping thousands of people add simple supplementation into their daily routines, and one of the supplements I get questions about most often is creatine. And the questions I get is how do I take it and when do I take it?

And here's the thing about creating it needs to be taken every single day to have that maximum benefit. Will you still get some benefit from not taking it every single day? Sure. Of course you will. But to get optimal benefit, you're going to need to take it every single day. And my thought on that is if you're going to spend money on a supplement, you might as well take it the right way and get the maximum benefit.

So creatine works in our bodies when it hits peak saturation, it takes some time to ramp up and get into your system. That's why you've probably heard about a creatine loading phase. You don't necessarily need to do that, but you can. And it will make the creatine start to work faster. As far as timing is concerned, people ask the question all the time what is the best time to take your creatine?

That's not as important. It's more about the consistency and taking it every single day. Although it seems to be that post-workout is a little bit better than pre-workout. But the main thing is that you're taking it every single day because your muscles are like a sponge. And if that peak saturation starts to fade, that sponge isn't going to work as efficiently as it can.

So the more that you can keep the muscle saturated with creatine, the better benefit you're going to get by supplementing with creatine, which is why the timing isn't as important as the consistency of taking it every single day. I actually take my creatine every night before I go to bed, because I also like to keep it as far away from caffeine intake as I possibly can, because caffeine is a diuretic and could hinder the absorption of the creatine.

So if you're going to spend the money on creatine, you might as well take it every single day to give yourself the max benefit.
